Walking on my way to my home in Heaven …… I was born in an Appalachian mountain village in West Virginia at 10:00 P.M. on March30, 1933. I come from very humble beginnings and God has blessed me tremendously during my lifetime. As a child I helped my mother share the gospel and this inspired within me a great desire to reach the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. In 1949, God saved me. Because of His remarkable love for the world, I realized that He loved me – Dan. In a simple way, with simple words, I invited Jesus to be my Savior and my Lord. That decision has made all the difference in the world to me. On that day I made a decision that started me on a journey that has lasted more than 74 years. My journey will end when I arrive in Heaven. Since the early years of my adult life I have been involved in missions work in various countries of the world. Many of these things are documented under ministries here on my site. The first years of my adult life were spent in corporate America and raising my family with my wife Mary Nell Winters. These were wonderful years but then my life made a turn…. A turn that God had planned all along. My wife of 39 years moved to heaven. This was a difficult transition for me But God… He brought into my life an amazing woman Mary Boldrey in August of 1994. She gives me a new reason to live and we have now enjoyed 29 years together. Dan and Mary were married on November 3, 1994. Dan brought into the marriage three adult children Ed, Donnie and Teri. They now have 5 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 7 great grands along with 4 step great grands. They have spent their years together with family, friends and spreading the gospel.
